Abstract
The aim of this study was to investigate the therapeutic effect of patients subacute ankle sprain which were divided into proprioceptive exercise group(n=22) and conservative therapy group(n=21). Experiment took 3 weeks, and then each remedial value was compared with conservative therapy group, pain, ankle range of motion, proprioception, and static stability. Visual analogue scale, range of motion(ROM), error of joint position sense, and one legged stance test were used to support the study. Results showed that pain was eased and ROM and static stability was improved in both groups(p<0.05). Error of joint position sense was decreased and static stability was improved in the proprioceptive exercise group(p<0.05). There was no significant improvement of error of joint position sense in the conservative therapy group. Proprioceptive exercise therapy group got more effective results in pain, range of motion(p<0.05). Through this study results, each test determined proprioception kinesiotherapy eased subacute ankle sprain patient¡¯s pain, range of motion, joint position sense and static stability test within a significance level. Regarding as these results, We consider early-applying-kinesiotherapy is crucial factor for protection and recovery.
